The Oesophageal Cancer Fund welcomes the report that Ireland has one of the fastest-improving survival rates for Oesophageal Cancer, from an international study published in The Lancet Oncology this week.

As the national charity for Oesophageal Cancer in Ireland, reducing the incidence of Oesophageal Cancer by focusing on prevention and enhancing survivorship by increasing early diagnosis of this cancer are two of our main focus areas. We are encouraged to see these findings published today and are committed to looking forward and building on this progress as we continue to bring the good fight to this bad cancer.
