This study aims compares gallbladder function in patients with Barrett’s Oesophagus, adenocarcinoma, and controls. Oesophageal adenocarcinoma is associated with gastroesophageal reflux, but the mechanisms responsible for are unknown. Bile components are implicated, and so impaired gallbladder function may contribute.
