An SOS From Your Friends At OCF

We challenge you to join us. Get active any way you like covering a 50kms distance to help raise €50k and keep a vital cancer research trial alive. Start our 5050OCF challenge whenever you want, however you like to keep active. You have until the last day of July to complete it.

Why 50kms and €50k?

Because of Coronavirus, OCF public fundraising events for the summer are cancelled or postponed.  Our income has stopped.

The second wave of research funding is due. So, when you say “YES to the 5050OCF challenge” your 50kms bring us one step closer to our hefty €50k goal.

This one-of-a-kind trial (called Neo-AEGIS) has the potential to establish a new international standard of care for our patients. Every research-funded cent we raise comes from generous donations made by you, our valued community.

The Irish led International Multicentre Neo-AEGIS trial could establish a new international standard of care for our patients.

Its unique elements include modern comprehensive staging and quality assurance in surgery and radiotherapy, as well as an exclusive focus on adenocarcinoma.

Moreover, the design presents significant opportunities for collaborative scientific research nationally and internationally.

What Your Money Funds

Your donation to keep this trial alive means:

Our patient Tiernan can say this today: “I’m now cancer free and that’s something that feels amazing to be able to say. Thank You for helping in any way you can.”

Your donation to keep this trial alive means:

We can identify more closely, patients who may be suitable for this cancer trial.

Your donation is the link in the international chain:

Providing access to wider collaboration on the international stage of oesophageal cancer.
That’s potentially game-changing for our patient care.

We’re Better Together.
